By divine providence I got to know Hasan (Indonesia), his wife and his kids in a discipleship school in the Netherlands in 2017. One thing struck me straight away: His honesty and his fear of God. One example: Since we were sharing a community bathroom, he approached me one day asking me whether or not it would be OK for him to take some of my shampoo which had been standing there. I would have never noticed some of the shampoo missing but he was concerned that I would mind if I knew and that it would therefore be theft in God’s eyes.

Well, I got to know some more of Hasan’s qualities over a year later when I traveled around the world. On this journey God had put on my heart a project with the name “the Cross in the Torah” which – at this stage of the development – was mainly a drawing project. When I visited Hasan and his family in Indonesia I was frustrated about the slow progress of the drawings and I shared my feelings with him. He offered to help which I accepted … reluctantly. In the back of my mind I was worried that I would not like his style and that I might have to tell him that. So I gave him one element of the poster to try: A man writing on a scroll. He went to work. After a short period of time (I can’t recall whether it was 10min., 20min., or 30min.) he returned with a small drawing tablet which usually served as a toy for his children:

I was amazed by his efficient and beautiful artistic skills. Therefore I gladly accepted his offer and several drawings from Hasan made their way into the project poster. Credit where credit is due: I also mentioned his participation in one of my videos:

Below you will find some examples of Hasan’s artistic abilities. In case you are in need of someone putting your ideas for a comic etc. on paper, you can reach out to Hasan through tCitT@web.de. The address is dedicated to the project “the Cross in the Torah” and emails for Hasan will be forwarded to him.
